Cheap and Chic in London

If we had a penny every time someone asked us for a recommendation of an affordable hotel in London, we'd be living on a private island. Finding decent accommodation in London is notoriously difficult, but we now we have a new place to direct people: base2stay. This new hotel near Earl's Court blends aspects of boutique hotels with serviced apartments, and best of all, rates start at a very reasonable £80. Base2stay bills itself as having “edited” services, which means the hotel offers everything you need while taking out frills that can drive the cost up. All 67 rooms have their own mini kitchen with microwave and fridge, as well flat-screen televisions and free internet access. In lieu of an in-house restaurant, each room comes with 'base directory' listing plenty of options for services and meals that can be delivered to base2stay.
