One of the newest places to stay in Sydney is the QT hotel, set to open on September 17. The boutique hotel is set within the historic Gowings department store and heritage-listed State Theatre in the heart of Sydney’s central business district. The QT, a member of Design Hotels, has 200 guest rooms done up in 12 different styles, and most are equipped with an oversized bathtub and shower, and unique design pieces that reference the buildings’ past. This sleek eatery is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and diners can order plates of food in three different sizes, which will appeal for those looking for a small nibble or those going the whole hog. We like the look of the cheese stuffed zucchini flowers as well as the white anchovies, and for mains there is Sicilian roast leg of lamb with celeriac puree or Wagyu flank with shallots.
